Community Workshops

now hear)) this! partners with community-based organizations to run a variety of workshops. Professional writers volunteer their time to help participants work on anything from basic grammar to developing persuasive arguments to writing "fake news" parodies. We have yet to write an opera. But we are young and full of energy; there is still time.

Our workshops include:

  • "Life Stories" workshops at Parkdale Project Read, a program aimed at community literacy and adult-education.
  • ongoing writing workshops at CTYS's New Outlook, a high school equivalency program for youth with mental illnesses.
  • a personal essay workshop at Beat the Street, a program run through Frontier College for homeless and at-risk youth.
  • a personal essay workshop at East End Literacy, an adult-education program located in Cabbagetown/Regent Park.
If your community organization is interested in either ongoing or one-off workshops, please contact now hear)) this! for more information
