Mark Laliberte (b. 1971) is the Managing Editor for both Carousel and Descant magazines. He holds an MFA from the University of Guelph. He is a practicing visual artist, poet & independent curator; recent projects include: Dehuman and Sequential Desire. Laliberte has had works published in numerous journals including 3rd Bed, Dandelion, Descant, Hat, Kiss Machine, Prarie Fire, SubTERRAIN, The Pocket Canon, Vallum, Wegway, West Coast Line, and Windsor Review. In May 2009 his chapbook, It Looked Like Rain, was released by Cactus Press. In 2010, his full-length BrickBrickBrick will be published by Bookthug, Toronto. He is currently working on hus next full-sized manuscript, tentatively titled Cloud & Bubble.

Rachel Hopwood graduated from the University of King's College in Halifax with a degree in Contemporary Studies and English. She grew up in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga, but also spent a few years living in Seoul, South Korea as a child. Rachel loves reading (particularly novels), writing, working on crafts and travelling.
